Off Piste/Introduction to ski touring week - 18-25 January 2020
Are you keen to explore the largest ski area in the world away from the pistes and access the amazing off piste ski terrain that the Three Valleys has to offer? With the use of the lifts, we will ascend to the highest altitudes possible and then use ski touring equipment to access the very best back country ski areas.
This 5 day course is aimed at confident skiers who already have some off piste ski experience and are comfortable skiing in all weather conditions on varied terrain. This includes steeper icy slopes to long powder runs. This course is for a maximum of 6 skiers in the group who will be accompanied by Ed Woolley, who is an instructor and director of Parallel Lines Snow Sports School.
Each day will be varied with a full day out exploring a different area of the Three Valleys. On some days you can enjoy a picnic lunch whilst taking in the breath taking scenery and on other days we will stop at a refuge or mountain restaurant for lunch depending on the itinerary.
Your stay will be based at Chalet Veronica which is in a ski in, ski out location at Meribel 1600. This lovely chalet is perfect for a group of keen skiers and the 5 bedrooms provide comfortable accommodation for the 6 guests booked on this course. You will enjoy a hearty breakfast before you set off for the day and when you return a home baked afternoon tea will be awaiting you. Pre-dinner canapes are served in front of the fire with a glass of fizz followed by a four course dinner with selected wines included.
Price - £1750 per person and includes:
- Accommodation for 7 nights, single room occupancy except one room where two people will share.
- All meals, beverages and services as described on the Ski Cuisine web site are included.
- A 6 day Three Valley lift pass.
- 5 full day ski course, Monday-Friday.
- Off piste safety equipment is provided
* Ski touring kit is not included but is required*
This course is based on a maximum of 6 skiers. Occasionally taxis or helicopters may be used to return to the slopes, these are payable locally in resort and are not included in the above price.
Lunches are not included except the days where a picnic lunch will be provided, depending on the itinerary.
